The M. C. Miller Company distributes a range of rugged and highly-accurate coating thickness gauges, as well as coating adhesion testing equipment (PosiTest AT Series), manufactured by the DeFelsko Corporation.

The gauges allow the non-destructive measurement of coating thickness in the case of non-magnetic coatings, such as paint, enamel, plating etc., on steel. Coating thicknesses can be measured accurately in the thickness range, 80mils down to a few microns.

The thickness of powder coatings can also be measured (Powder Thickness Checker) prior to the application of a curing process, for example.
