Coating Thickness Standards
Certified thickness standards are ideal for checking calibration and operation of coating thickness gauges and are an important component in fulfilling both ISO and in-house quality control requirements. All standards described below are supplied with a certificate of calibration showing traceability to NIST/NPL.
Calibration Standards:- Ideal for use in the calibration lab
- Used to verify the accuracy of a magnetic, eddy current or ultrasonic coating thickness gauge over its complete thickness measuring range
- Standards with steel or aluminum substrates consist of four (4) standards mounted in a durable leatherette binder
- Plastic thickness standards consist of four (4) polystyrene standards supplied in a rugged acrylic storage box
- Ideal for use in the field or on the factory floor
- Each set consists of three (3) test standards; one zero (uncoated) and two (2) epoxy coated at high and low thicknesses
- Available with either a ferrous substrate for use with magnetic type coating thickness gauges, or a non-ferrous substrate for use with eddy current type gauges
- Mounted in durable leatherette binder
Calibration Standards and Check Standards are ideal for use with magnetic, eddy current and ultrasonic coating thickness gauges.
